ghostbuster.dev is an independent project of Cirrus Loft, LLC ("we", "us"). The short version: we run privacy-friendly analytics, we don't make you sign up for anything, and we don't sell your personal information. The details are below.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit and which pages get used, so we know what to build next. It sets cookies and collects standard usage data such as pages viewed, rough (city-level) location, referrer, and device and browser type. We look at this in aggregate, not to identify you. We do not run advertising or cross-site ad tracking. You can block cookies in your browser, use a tracker blocker, or opt out with Google's opt-out add-on; the site still works.
What you type in the search box
When you unmask a name, we log the search term in analytics (including searches that find nothing) so we know which brands to add. Please don't type personal information into the search box.
The contact and report forms
If you send a message or report a ghost, your name, email, and message are emailed to our inbox through Amazon SES so a human can read and reply. We use it only to respond or to act on your tip. We don't add you to a marketing list, and we don't keep your email in a database beyond the message itself.

- Amazon Web Services for hosting and for sending form emails.
- Fourthwall if you buy merch; checkout happens on their site under their privacy policy.
- Ko-fi if you tip us; that happens on their site under their privacy policy.
Your choices
You can browse without accepting cookies, opt out of analytics as described above, or email us to ask what we hold or to request deletion. Reach us any time at whoscooking@ghostbuster.dev.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this page as the site grows. The date at the top shows the latest version.
